I have this in a corner of my bedroom and even though it looks big it takes up very little room and looks great.

Sturdy build, poor coating

This unit has improved the way my front room works. It's very sturdy with very little wobble and I find the shelf combination perfect. The portion of the desk to hide a computer is also very useful - I can fit a large MacPro effortlessly in the gap. Good clearance with the top shelf (on top of the desk) to hide a lot of desk clutter underneath.The printed wood effect marks very easily - including with some tapes! (e.g. electrical tape).Otherwise I highly recommend it.
