At [...] I was expecting a fairly good quality product. What I received was not only a sub-standard item but in my opinion an unsafe one. The mechanism for this lounger is exposed from the top - unlike all other loungers where it is underneath. That makes this product unsafe. Potentially users could get their fingers trapped. This chair is uncomfortable and because it has only two supports is unstable.. Needless to say that I have decided to return the item. But be warned it is easier said than done. This supplier ([...]) does not refund postage for whatever reason - which is illegal of course, so I am expecting a battle to get all my cost back.

I bought this lounger in March but, as the weather was not good again for months, I did not use it. I have now used it approximately 6 times and the covering came undone where it fits onto the rounded edges so, as this, to me, constitutes a fault, I returned it, having exchanged e-mails with kev (sic). I did receive a refund but not for the postage which was £12.60. When I spoke to the company kev answered and said he was surprised that I sent it back as I should have fixed it myself and I have obviously been rough with the lounger. I weigh just over half the apparent weight capacity, do not know how to be rough with anything and it was always kept it in a dry shed when not in use. His attitude was amazingly rude and I was about to tell him so but he had hung up. I am never rude to anyone as I don't see the point, and I would advise everyone NOT to use this firm at all just in case anything goes wrong and you have to deal with kev.

I was delighted to find this sun lounger on Amazon. I have two similar ones that were originally bought with Green Shield Stamps! They must be nearly 50 years old. I can therefore vouch for their durability.Of course, you have to make sure you don't sit on the ends but that's part of the fun!
