These chairs are the Venus faux leather and chrome dining chairs manufactured exclusively for Your Price Furniture. The beautifully crafted steel frames gives a sprung, cushioned feel, giving a comfortable dining experience for you and your guests. These chairs are sure to provide the WOW factor in your home. The faux leather is a PU faux leather and is incredibly realistic. Many other chairs advertised as faux leather are in fact cheap PVC alternatives with a nasty shiny finish.

Nice looking, but some self-assembly problems

These chairs turned up in good time, in four boxes, ready to be assembled. The metal frames form once single piece, and the seats and backs are separate and have to be screwed onto the frames. Always a fiddly job, this was made more difficult by the fact that in two cases the holes of the backs and frames did not align. That was a complete pain in the neck and awards the set only three stars.In addition, one of the protective studs had detached itself from the base of the frame, leaving only three. There was no clear way to fix it back into place so I used super-glue. As two of the chairs sit against a wall and are used infrequently, this is not the end of the world, but it is still irritating.Having said that, the chairs are good looking, quite easy to assemble when the holes are in the correct place, and very comfortable to sit on. I bought them to replace some 15 year old chairs of which I was very fond, and I can see these being a very good replacement in the coming years.The instructions say that they are cigarette proof (within reason) but not match proof.At 285ukp at the time of purchase they would have been a good purchase had it not been for the assembly problems and the broken stud.
