You should be aware...

The set is generally fairly sturdy, of decent size and as described. The brush and shovel have been really handy for cleaning around the hearth and the brush is soft enough for me not to worry about scratching the glass or outside of my multi-fuel burning stove. That much is good.Sadly, the tongs let the whole thing down a lot. The bendy, rounded flat piece of metal which acts as the hinge is flimsy and feels really cheap. The same can also be said of the horrible retaining clip which slides annoyingly up and down one arm of the tongs whilst in use and snags on things when you are trying to do anything inside the fire (now removed as it was very irritating). The claws, whilst fairly solid, are not very large. Coupled with the worrying weakness of the hinge, this creates a very rickety and haphazard feeling when doing basic things like moving even quite small logs around on the fire. I am in my early thirties, over six feet tall and in relatively good shape, and I find using the tongs quite awkward and have to bend the hinge back into a semi-pleasing aesthetic shape after every use.I should point out I had no problems with the seller and this is not intended as a criticism of them. The set was fairly cheap and so I wasn't expecting something amazing.
