Shinier than I expected

Perhaps my fault when I ordered, they are more like a shiny back pack material than I was expecting. Very glossy and have a slippery feel but sweaty with shorts. But I wanted waterproof and the water does seem to just run off them so they do serve the purpose. We angle them up wedged against the table when not in use to further reduce the surface area and encourage the rain to run off.
